1535, I came, I saw, God conquered.

Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor
King of Germany King of Italy
Suleiman the Magnificent ordered Hayreddin Barbarossa,
[whom he had summoned from Algiers, to build a large war fleet
and with this, Barbarossa was to conduct aggressive raids along the coast of Italy,
[he conquered Tunis and the Christians suffered a general defeat.

Charles V, one of the most powerful men in Europe at the time,

[in a war that seemed to be a duel between an Asian and a European.

[over much of Germany, and also controlled Sicily,

Spain, the Americas, the Netherlands, and lands in Germany,
[Austria and much of southern Italy. _____________________________________________________
