1534, Jacques Cartier’s North American Voyages

We arrived (1964) at the Saint Lawrence River
[after 40 days of watching only the sea and the vault of heaven.

The Saint Lawrence River runs 1,900 miles from start to the mouth
[a river where 430 years ago Jacques Cartier (1491-1557)
authorized by France’s King Francis to seek a new route to Asia,
[tried to cross the New Continent via the river.

How did the King have the information about the huge river length
[who was the informer and why, who was that giver?

According to the second volume in the series
[of Shawnee Heritage books by Don Greene,
the Greek explorer Pytheas while exploring the Atlantic,
[probably arrived in North America (a nice story for the screen).

If not elapsed something metaphysical,
[chances are that someone supplied Cartier with ancient scrolls,
information from Pythaeus about America,
[some historians call papyrus as telescopes or history's holes.
