Definition of Germanic : of or relating to Germans
1469 Spain
[marries Isabella I of Castile in Valladolid...
A royal couple, which the previous rivalry between them,
[in some edge of their minds hid.
This marriage was the beginning of a cooperative reign
[that would elevate Spain to a dominant world power.
During this time, the legend developed of the most famous navigator in history,
[and regardless of the question did he fall out of favour,
until today his name is synonymous with courage,
[perseverance and success.
He was of course Christopher Columbus,
[thanks to whom, more or less,
the world grew, literally transformed, visibly changed ....
In 1492 the knowledge and belief of the explorer,
[funded by Isabella, in a way, exchanged ...
The Genoese captain with a crew,
[mainly from descendants of Goths,
all those Germanic peoples, ie Germans, [ie Suebi, Germanic Vandals, Visigoths,
and carrying multicolored glass beads,
[small glass mirrors and many canons,
arrives in America followed by descendants of Anglo-Saxons,
[ie Germanic tribes, ie Germans, carrying tools and wagons.
All these, fought for years with the descendants,
[of the ancient Mongols from Asia,
those unbeaten horsemen of the steppe,
[of Mongolia and Transcaucasia....
(In Europe we learned the story of these wars,
[from great teachers from early age,
great, such as Errol Flynn, Randolph Scott and John Wayne,
[who were living behind the screen at the back of the stage).
Later the newcomers in the New World,
[involved in a bloody war between them,
but eventually together they would create,
[the most powerful state in the world ....until numb,
it was said that unfortunately they built
[the most powerful weapon ever made.
Finally, it could be big omission I am afraid,
not to mention that the Vikings, ie Germans,
[first arrived in Newfoundland and Labrador,
about 1000 AD, and in one version they are believed,
[to have arrived in the kingdom of their god Thor.

* Five main time periods appear, and these will be covered in chronological order, along with the events that mark their loosely defined boundaries:
North Germanic/Primitive Scandinavian, Old Danish, Middle Danish, Early Modern Danish, and Modern Danish.
North Germanic/Primitive Scandinavian (200A.D. - 800A.D.)
The Vikings invading eastern Britain and northwest France, and eventually settling in both regions, come mainly from Denmark. The Swedes raid across the Baltic and penetrate deep into Russia as traders.
It is impossible to assign the various Viking groups at all precisely to places of origin. But broadly speaking, adventurers from the coast of Norway raid the north of England and continue round the Scottish coast to Ireland. Vikings from the same region later settle in the Scottish islands, Iceland and parts of Ireland.
