1468, Italy

In Rome the year one thousand four hundred sixty-eight
twenty academicians were arrested,
[and they passed the prison gate,
on charges of a supposed conspiracy against the Pope,
while in Venice there was an arrest of Laetus,
[the question of fairness ? no hope.

Julius Pomponius Laetus, was an Italian humanist,
                                 [classical scholar and philologist,
ahead of its time, a lover of ancient philosophers,
                                                   [and a true ideologist ...

He was sent back to Rome,
[imprisoned and tortured for a long time....

Refusing to plead guilty to the charges,
[mercilessly tortured as if he had committed the greatest crime.

After a long search and a thorough study of historical sources,
while identifying and isolating misinformation forces,
I concluded that the true crime,
[of Julius Pomponius Laetus was this...

In "Accademia Romana" where he had found, in a way reminisces,
[and refers to the ancient Greek poets philosophers and teachers,
and this enlightenment, just before the religious wars,
[was unacceptable to the established order and preachers.
